All that waste can be eliminated by switching to reusable bags.

Sew-A-Bag sewing circles create unique, reusable shopping totes, produce, lunch, bread, and wine bags, plus cutlery pouches from donated second-hand fabrics. We replace plastic and paper bags, while learning about climate change, sustainable practices and civic engagement.

Through the sales of our bags we raise funds to pay unemployed at-risk women to sew reusable bags from home, helping them make ends meet – with the long term goal of creating their own in-person or virtual self-sustaining sewing circles.

We created a label to express our appreciation in thanks and praise to every member of our Sew-A-Bag team.

• Everyone participating in the making of the bags or donating the fabrics is credited on the label pocket
• Each label is numbered to track each bag’s carbon footprint impact
• Each label pocket is made out of second-hand fabrics and printed locally
