A Zero Waste Culture Reusable Face Masks

Sew-A-Mask was formed overnight to help fight the local spread of coronavirus. Our program provides an income to women from vulnerable communities who are suffering from the economic hardships caused by unemployment. Our seamstresses sew masks sustainably by repurposing donated, second hand, 100% cotton fabrics.

Sew-A-Mask needs your donations to sustain our program. For each donation you make, you receive a facemask, and we donate two masks to those most in need. Our signature “Smiling Underneath” face mask shows that you are not just switching to a more sustainable way of living, you’re also empowering women in high need areas.

A Zero Waste Culture is all about Collaborating
There is so much more we can do when we join forces

Sew-A-Mask is stronger because we work together with a number of other non profits with a shared mission to tackle climate change by reducing waste and together protecting the most vulnerable from Coronavirus.

Our volunteers, paid seamstresses and artists can make personalized face masks with different messages which aim to empower people to take action, such as “Service Before Self,” “Vote,” “Unity Begins with Me,” and of course our landmark, “Smiling Underneath.” Please contact us if you would like to collaborate and we can help you spread your message.
